Our Impact
Burlington Youth Lacrosse has introduced the game of lacrosse to hundreds of local kids and families over the last decade. As the game has grown in popularity in our region, volunteer coaches have stepped forward and ensured that the nonprofit will continue to thrive.

Teams + a new 1st/2nd grade program
Burlington Youth Lacrosse fields 6 teams every Spring - girls and boys teams for grades 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8.

Most of our teams reach their maximum capacity, totaling about 120 total players each Spring.

With each team playing for about 6 hours per week, Burlington Youth Lacrosse provides 400+ hours of healthy activity to local youth every season.

Special Announcement: This Spring, we will also be offering a co-ed 1st and 2nd grader program.
No prior experience or equipment is required. Just register and come join these sessions, which run every Friday at Champlain on Fridays at 5:30. Sticks are provided and no other equipment is used. emphasis is on fun and learning the basics of lacrosse.

Registration Requirements
In addition to registering to play, players are also required to become members of US Lacrosse. Please go to https://www.uslacrosse.org/membership and complete the “Youth” member option. Burlington Youth Lacrosse can provide scholarships for registration fees and assist with equipment needs; scholarships will be managed during registration.
Schedule & Location
Weather permitting, the season begins with practices in late March. Practices are held two times per week, either on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, determined by the coach.
Games begin around May 1 and are played every weekend through June. Historically, boys games have been played on Saturday and girls games played on Sunday. All games are “jamborees,” with each team playing multiple games over the span of a few hours. When available, the game and practice schedules will be provided by each coach.
Our home field is Leddy Park located at 216 Leddy Park Rd. Burlington, VT 05408. Please park only in marked spaces. Do not park on Leddy Park Road, which is marked as a “No Parking” area and may result in being ticketed. Parking spaces are available in the lot in front of the tennis courts or in the Leddy Arena lot.
Equipment
Other than goalie equipment, each player is responsible for purchasing their own equipment. Equipment can be purchased by our community partner Dick’s Sporting Goods located at 1355 Maple Tree Pl, Williston, VT 05495.
US Lacrosse Girls Equipment Descriptions can be found here. Burlington Youth Lacrosse requires players to have the following: Stick, Eye protection, Mouthguard. *Goalie’s helmet, throat guard, and chest protector will be provided by league.
US Lacrosse Boys Equipment Descriptions can be found here. Burlington Youth Lacrosse requires players to have the following: Helmet, Stick, Mouthguard, Shoulder Pads, Elbow Pads, Gloves, Rib Pads (optional). *Goalie’s helmet, throat guard, and chest protector will be provided by league.
